This is Symphony in magenta by Red Heart and Micro Spun in turquoise by Lion Brand.

Looking over my last couple of posts I'm thinking, you must be thinking, "ok Pam, where are all these scarves?". I have started scarves with all the yarn I've showed you, and I will be posting pictures soon. I'm really enjoying myself making all these scarves, but I know for some of you this is probably boring. I'm more into all the lovely yarns, and scarves simply give me something to make with it. lol

So, for those of you who live in the USA, how's your Thanksgiving going? I'm having a nice day. My turkey is in the oven, so the house smells good, I'm drinking eggnog, and after I'm done with this post, I'm going to settle in with my crochet until it's time to make the rest of the meal.
For those of you who don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you're having a wonderful day too.
For those of you who are offended by Thanksgiving, I do apologize if anything I say on my blog offends you. It's my understanding that we were friends with the Indians when we enjoyed that first feast together with the Indians. The trouble didn't start until after that. If I am wrong (and I could be), please feel free to leave a comment explaining. Do not spam me with ignorance . . . educate me.

Scotland Yarn

A friend brought two skeins of yarn back from Scotland. It's Stylecraft Pure Wool DK (see picture on left). I know these days we can just hop on the Internet and buy just about any yarn from any place, but there's something nice about someone buying it from the shop and actually bringing it back to the States. Anyway, the gesture was nice. Now, what to make with two skeins. I think I'll make her a scarf (bet you didn't guess that).

Does anyone else have trouble crocheting with Lion Brand Homespun yarn. I can't see the stitches on the previous row, so I'm never sure where to put my hook. It would make a nice sweater, and there's even a pattern on the Lion Brand site. Oh well, there's lots of yarn out there, but just because I can't, I want to. He he he . . .

Ooooo I just went on the Lion Brand page to get the links and guess what I found. They have a new line called the Masterpiece Collection, Concerto, Serenade and Sonata. How musical! I'll need to listen to my classical collection while I crochet with this yarn. They don't have a lot of colors, but the Sonata Mulit-Lavender, Olive, Gold caught my eye.

New Yarn

I received my order from Patternworks today. This is called Jeans from Lorna's Laces. As the name suggests, the colors will go great with jeans. It will also make a scarf that will look great with my dungaree jacket.

Besides being addicted to yarn, I seem to be becoming addicted to scarves. I thought I was going to make a bunch and sell them, but I seem to be making them to go with all my stuff and wearing them.

Welcome to my new blog.
